Yana is from my very first litter that I bred. She showed early promise kicking of with Baby Puppy of Breed at the Canberra Royal and numerous in group awards as a youngster. Whilst we then waited for her to mature... and the wait was a little longer than I had hoped for, but WOW, the wait was certainly worth it!
In early 2007, Yana went on to achieve her Australian Champion title and had some lovely wins throughout the year including Bitch Challenge at the BC Club of NSW in Sydney from an entry of 69 bitches. At this show she also won Champion Headed and Coated.
Two years later in March 2009 and just prior to retirement, Yana gave us an amazing result at the 2nd BC National at Canberra in March 2009. At 7.5 years of age, Yana was awarded 1st Place Australian Bred Bitch class and also Reserve Bitch Challenge. Additionally her daughter Nina at just 9 months of age was awarded 1st Place Headed Bitch and Yana herself 2nd Place Headed Bitch.
Yana is now retired. She remains here with us at Tehya and can be often seen teaching the other youngsters manners and gracefulness. Whilst she ages, someone should remind her that she is now suppose to be a grown up, but apparently not in her mind! We truly have been blessed with such a lovely, playful girl and she is truly a wonder to own.
